Best Practices for Tea Preparation:
To get the most out of your herbal blends, we recommend using the double boiling method. Here’s how to prepare your teas for maximum benefit:
- Add a palm full of herbs into a 16oz mason jar. The herbs should fill the jar up to about the 2oz mark.
- Fill the rest of the jar with cold, fresh spring water and place the lid on top (don’t use the screw top, just a regular lid to prevent heat from escaping).
- Add cold water to a pot and place the mason jar (filled with herbs and water) into the pot.
- Boil the mixture for 10-15 minutes to extract the maximum benefits from the herbs.
- Carefully remove the jar from the pot and strain the herbs into another container using a strainer or colander.
- Reuse the same herbs up to 5 days before discarding. You can dry the herbs on a paper towel, parchment paper, or another medium.
How Often to Drink:
- You can enjoy these teas up to 3 times daily. It’s a great way to start your day, stay hydrated, and give your body the support it needs.
Break Period:
- After 5-7 days of consistent use, I recommend taking a short break. This allows your body to reset and prevents it from getting used to the herbs, keeping their effectiveness at full potential.
Can the Teas Be Taken With Food?
- The teas can be taken with or without food. However, for maximum effectiveness, avoid certain foods that could reduce the herbs' impact:
- Dairy: Blocks the absorption of nutrients and can reduce the effectiveness of the herbs by inhibiting cell entry.
- Processed Foods: Often contain preservatives and additives that can interfere with the absorption and action of the herbs.
- White Sugar: Disrupts the body’s natural healing processes and may negate the positive effects of the herbs.
